ABOUT THE COMPANY:
This is a great opportunity to join a market-leading organisation in the Financial Services sector. They are going through a period of exciting change, and are working on many new initiatives with a big focus on IT and Digital. 

With offices based in Auckland CBD, they offer the flexibility to work from home or in their office when best suits the team and the projects that people are working on. Typically people are in office 2-3 days a week. 
  
ABOUT THE ROLE:
In this role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the front-end development of a large-scale enterprise-level software application.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Develop innovative and interactive user interfaces using React, JSX, and JavaScript
  • Collaborate with the .NET development team to integrate front-end components with back-end services.
  • Design and implement responsive, accessible, and scalable UI/UX solutions for our life insurance platform.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality coding standards and best practices are maintained.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest React trends, libraries, and tools to continuously improve our development processes
ABOUT YOU:
Ideally, you will have 5+ years of experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the following technical skills:
    • Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and their respective best practices
    • Familiarity with .NET and C# is a plus, but not required
    • Experience working in an Agile environment with version control systems like Git, Azure DevOps
    • Proficiency in debugging tools like Chrome DevTools or Firefox Developer Edition
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
      
    Nice to Have:
    • Experience with insurance industry-specific technologies (e.g., policy administration systems)
    • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, Kafka Confluent, and data modelling principles
    • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest or Enzyme
